Continuous in-line measurement for 2″ industrial pipelines

Continuous in-line concentration measurement directly in 2″ industrial process pipelines. The sensor measures total solids content — including both dissolved and suspended components — delivering stable, real-time data under normal flow conditions without bypass loops or sample extraction.
Designed for industrial applications including sugar processing, chemical manufacturing, mineral processing, and industrial starch production where robust measurement and coating resistance are essential.

Maintains a stable measurement signal even when product coating or buildup is part of normal operation
Accurate measurement from low concentrations to high-solids processes — one sensor covers your full production spectrum.
Slurry measurement in our process lines was always problematic. This sensor handles high solids content and abrasive conditions without drift — finally getting reliable data for process control.

The Model P2 is a digital microwave sensor for continuous Brix, total solids and density measurement in 2″ industrial process pipelines. It measures the flowing product directly in the line, without bypass loops or sample extraction.
In sugar production the Model P2 is used in raw juice and thin juice transfer lines, filter backwash monitoring, molasses transfer and blending, and syrup processing. It is also used for caustic and acid concentration, chemical recovery streams, mining slurries, tailings density, leach solutions, and glucose syrup, corn steep liquor and maltodextrin lines in starch processing.
Yes. The Model P2 measures total solids, both dissolved and suspended, across the flowing product. This suits opaque, viscous and coating-prone streams and slurries, where optical sensors that measure only dissolved solids at a prism surface struggle.
No. The digital microwave measurement extends into the product volume, so the signal stays stable when coating or buildup on the sensor surface is part of normal operation.
Choose the model that matches the pipe size: the P2 fits 2″ (DN50), the P4 4″ (DN100), the P6 6″ (DN150), the P8 8″ (DN200) and the P10 10″ (DN250) industrial process pipelines, all with a flanged fitting. For sanitary lines of 1.5–3″ (DN40–DN80) with a Tri-Clamp connection, use the Model P-TC, and for tanks and vessels the Model IL. All use the same digital microwave measurement.
The Model P2 installs directly in a 2″ (DN50) pipeline with a flanged process fitting. The pipe must run full, and a process pressure of at least 1.5 bar is recommended to avoid free air at the sensor.
No. All signal processing takes place in the sensor itself. It provides 4–20 mA outputs for total solids and temperature, active and isolated, with a maximum load of 750 Ω, directly to the PLC or DCS.
The measurement range is 0–95 % Brix or total solids, factory configured to the customer’s specific total solids or density range. Accuracy and repeatability are ±0.01 % concentration, sensitivity is ±0.001 % and measuring resolution is 0.01 %.
The Model P2 operates at pH 3–14 and 0–140 °C, with an AISI 316L sensor body. A process pressure of at least 1.5 bar is recommended to avoid free air at the sensor.
The Model P2 comes with a 3-year warranty, reflecting its long-term stability in continuous industrial operation.
