Technical Services & Support

Expert application engineering and responsive technical support—from initial assessment and installation through remote diagnostics and long-term service

Inmec engineer and customer

Remote support, Real advantages

Installing a sensor is straightforward. Ensuring the sensor delivers stable, accurate data under your specific process conditions — and continues to perform reliably over years of operation — requires expertise, responsive support, and a partner with deep knowledge who understands both the technology and your application.

Inmec provides comprehensive technical services throughout the sensor lifecycle: from pre-installation application engineering through commissioning, operation, and long-term support. The key to this is our remote service model — delivering faster response times, reducing travel costs, and providing direct access to the engineers who designed and manufacture the sensors. Remote commissioning gets your sensor operational in a dedicated Viewer- session without scheduling delays or site visit costs, and the same direct remote access extends to diagnostics and ongoing technical support throughout the sensor’s lifetime.

Whether you’re evaluating measurement technology for a new project, commissioning a sensor installation, or troubleshooting an existing system — our application engineers are there when you need them, without the wait.

Comprehensive Remote Service Throughout the Sensor Lifecycle:

1. Application Engineering & Pre-Installation Support

Before installation, our application engineers help evaluate whether Inmec sensors are applicable for your specific process conditions and requirements.

Process Evaluation
Assessment of process conditions, measurement requirements, and installation constraints. We desired measuring range, temperature, pressure, coating potential, and control objectives to define sensor applicability.

Sensor Selection & Sizing
Recommendation of the optimal sensor model, size, and configuration based on your process type (tank vs. pipeline), product characteristics, and installation requirements.

Integration Planning
Guidance on process connections, mounting options, output signals, and integration with existing control systems (PLC, DCS).

Technical Documentation
Provision of datasheets, installation drawings, electrical specifications, and integration guidelines to support project planning and procurement.

Why This Matters:

Correct sensor selection and application planning prevent costly mistakes, ensure optimal performance, and avoid re-work during installation and commissioning.

2. Installation Support & Commissioning

Once sensors arrive on site, we provide direct support to ensure correct installation, proper calibration, and stable operation from day one. Includes:

Remote Commissioning (Preferred)
Viewer-linked support during installation and start-up. Our engineers guide your team through Sensor calibration to your specific product and process conditions using reference samples and process knowledge.
Ensures accurate Brix, density, or total solids readings from start-up.

On-Site Commissioning (Available)
Direct on-site presence for complex installations, multi-sensor projects, or when preferred by the customer. Includes physical installation verification, process calibration, and operator training.

Process Calibration
Sensor calibration to your specific product and process conditions using reference samples or process knowledge. Ensures accurate Brix, density, or total solids readings from start-up.

Integration Verification
Confirming that sensor outputs are correctly integrated with control systems, displays, and data logging. Verification of signal quality and control loop stability.

Training
Basic training on sensor operation, output interpretation, routine checks, and when to contact technical support.

Why This Matters:

Proper commissioning ensures sensors perform as expected from the start, reducing troubleshooting time and building operator confidence in the measurement data and control.

3. Ongoing Support, Diagnostics & Lifecycle Services

Throughout sensor operation and beyond, we provide comprehensive technical support, remote diagnostics, maintenance services, and long-term lifecycle support. Includes:

Direct Technical Support
Register to get Email and phone access to application engineers familiar with your industry and application. Response times: same business day for standard inquiries, priority response for production-critical issues. Next business day for advanced assistance for more than 2-hour sessions. No issue is too small—early contact helps prevent problems and improve performance.

Remote Diagnostics
Secure remote access to sensor data, configuration, and diagnostic information allows our engineers to assess performance, identify issues, and recommend solutions without site visits—resolving 90% of technical questions remotely.

Process Optimization
Guidance on improving measurement performance, adjusting calibration for process changes, or optimizing control strategies based on sensor data.

Firmware & Software Updates
Provision of firmware updates, configuration improvements, and software enhancements as they become available—extending sensor capabilities without hardware replacement.

Proactive Monitoring (Optional)
For multi-sensor installations or critical applications, remote monitoring services provide continuous visibility into sensor performance and early identification of potential issues before they impact production.

3-Year Warranty Coverage
Industry-leading 3-year warranty on all sensors reflects confidence in long-term performance. Warranty includes repair or replacement for manufacturing defects or performance issues.

Post-Warranty Support
Continued technical support, parts availability, and service options beyond the warranty period ensure sensors remain supported throughout their operational life.

Why This Matters:

Direct access to Inmec expertise—ensures accurate diagnosis, faster resolution, and solutions based on deep product and application knowledge. Sensors are a long-term investment, and ongoing service availability protects the investment throughout the entire lifecycle.

Why Choose Inmec

Deep Application Knowledge

Engineers with extensive experience in industrial processes—we understand your application, not just the technology.

Fast, Remote-First Service

Diagnostics and support without travel scheduling or site visit delays—faster solutions when you need them.

Expert Support

Help from the engineers who actually designed your sensors—not third-party technicians reading manuals.

”Remote commissioning via Viewer-link worked better than we expected. The Inmec engineer walked us through installation and calibration in under 3 hours. The sensor has been running stable for 18 months with zero maintenance.”
